Sleepers

Landscaping sleepers, also known as garden sleepers, are widely used in garden projects.  They are usually used to create vegetable beds, raised beds for flowers, retaining walls, or to edge patios and paths.

Raised beds made from sleepers are easy to cultivate and maintain.  They drain well and are ideal for growing herbs, vegetables, and flowers.  Landscaping sleepers are also ideal edgings for paths and steps and can even be used to construct attractive garden seating.  Sleepers can be used to create retaining walls if they are securely fixed.  They look good in any style of garden, from traditional to contemporary.  

Sleepers are easy to install in any garden and are easy to cut to size if required.  They are usually made from treated timber and can look good for years.  To maintain sleepers, they should be regularly cleaned, and any moss, dirt or debris should be removed from the sleepers’ surface. Treating sleepers with a wood preservative will help them last for a long period of time.
